are a 501(c)(3) program dedicated to improving emergency response to
sick, injured, orphaned, trapped or otherwise imperiled wildlife, resulting
in reduced animal suffering, an increase in the number of animals that
are saved, and enhanced public service.
At a local level, we organize and maintain teams of specially trained
responders to assist with emergencies involving wild animals found in
distress. On a broader scale, we are making advances in this new and
emerging field through the development of standards and best practices,
improvements in equipment and techniques, and through advanced training
and certification programs.
